I forgot I had a BLOG

No, seriously I really did forget. And for some reason in the middle of checking my email I remembered I had it. It was a revelation. Maybe I'll write a little more frequently now. Don't get your hopes up though. So it's Friday which means date night for Jadon and I. The plan is to go out to eat ( probably Subway since the options in Kemmerer are slim ), play a few games of racquetball, soak it the jacuzzi and then head home for a good movie or catching up on our shows. It'll be fun. There's a storm moving in tonight so who knows what we'll do tomorrow. It all depends on the weather. But if it's exciting I might write about it. Nothing else new for now...

Tower Rock Run 2009

Image
Yesterday Jadon and I ran "Tower Rock Run 10K" in Manila, UT. It was our 2nd year to run it together. It was cloudy, and cold and the sun was barely up when we arrived. It was still a good race though. I came in 1st in my age division and I was the 2nd female overall, so I was very happy. And I won $20, so no complaints here. Jadon did really well too. He came in 45 seconds behind me and he beat the spandex clad man that he wanted to beat last year, but didn't. So we both did what we set out to do. It was a fun morning, I always love race day!

Dad's Lake Backpacking Trip

Image
Jadon and I went backpacking this weekend. We drove to Big Sandy trail head early on Friday and then hiked 6 miles in to Dad's Lake by noon. We stayed there for the night and then had to hike out the next day to be back for church. It was a wonderful trip. I caught three fish to Jadon's one and he claims it's a miracle.... but.... I now it's just my sheer talent :-) The mosquitos were awful and at times the dogs were a nusiance but other than that it was a wonderful trip. Here are a few pictures.

A Few Doggy Pictures

Doggy Baths

I know, you keep checking my blog only to be disappointed over and over again. Well not this time... finally a new blog... rejoice! Since we've gotten our new dog Mountie I've noticed that he is much stinker than Maya. I don't know if it's just the whole male thing and boys smell worse than girls. Or, if he hasn't perfected his aim and he hits himself as well as his target. But whatever it is, Mountie stinks! So Jadon and I decided that Monday was going to be dog brushing, trimming and bathing day. We brushed both dogs, trimmed some of their insanely long fur and then took them inside for their baths. Mountie was first. He's not a fan of the bath tub and it took both Jadon and I too hold him in the tub. However we managed to get him clean even if we were sweating afterwards. Maya was up next and she was much easier to handle. She knows the routine and dutifully stands there and endures it. Feeling good about the dogs and the loss of stench, I left t

Here are a few pictures from our trip to Kansas City, Missouri, & Haviland. We celebrated my 26th birthday, picked up our new Siberian husky, went to my cousin Ann's wedding and visited family in Haviland. It was a fully trip, but a lot of fun.
